Expert Oven Repair Across Dubai:
An oven that won't heat, heats unevenly, or has a broken door is more than an inconvenience — it disrupts meal planning, wastes energy, and can pose safety risks if the fault is gas-related or electrical. We provide professional oven repair across all areas of Dubai for every type of oven: gas ovens, electric ovens, fan-assisted ovens, built-in ovens, wall-mounted ovens, and combination microwave-ovens.
Our technicians carry the diagnostic tools and common spare parts needed to resolve the majority of oven faults on the first visit. We work on all brands — from budget models found in standard Dubai apartments to premium European ranges found in private villas and high-end residences.
Types of Oven Faults We Repair
Oven not heating at all
An oven that won't heat despite being switched on has usually lost its main heating element (electric ovens), its igniter or safety valve (gas ovens), or its thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a one-time safety device that blows if the oven overheats — it won't reset and must be replaced. In electric fan ovens, the fan motor can also seize, which prevents heat distribution and often causes the element to overheat and blow. We diagnose the exact cause before recommending a repair — not every no-heat fault is an element problem.
Oven heating but temperature is wrong
An oven that heats but consistently runs hotter or cooler than the set temperature has a thermostat problem. Oven thermostats are calibrated components that degrade over time — particularly in UAE conditions where ovens are used daily and ambient kitchen temperatures are high. A thermostat that is off by 20–30°C can ruin baking results without causing any obvious fault indicator. We calibrate and replace thermostats for all major oven brands and models.
Oven door not closing or sealing
A broken door seal is one of the most common oven faults in Dubai. The silicone or fibreglass door gasket that runs around the oven cavity perimeter hardens, cracks, and compresses over years of use in high-temperature conditions. A failed gasket allows heat to escape from the front of the oven, causing longer cooking times, higher energy consumption, and a hot oven exterior that can burn anyone who touches it. Door gasket replacement is an inexpensive repair — but the safety implications of a failed seal make it one not to defer.
Fan oven making noise
Fan-assisted ovens use a circulating fan to distribute heat evenly. The fan motor runs at high temperature continuously during every baking cycle. When the motor bearing wears, it produces a grinding or rattling noise that gradually worsens. A fan motor that has failed completely stops heat from being distributed — one side of the oven becomes significantly hotter than the other. Fan motor replacement is a medium-complexity repair that restores even heat distribution and quiet operation.
Oven control panel not responding
Digital control panels on modern ovens can fail from moisture ingress, power surges (common in UAE buildings), or general electronic wear. A panel that is completely unresponsive may have a blown fuse or a failed control board. Specific button failures often indicate moisture damage to the membrane keypad beneath the buttons. We diagnose whether a control fault is in the panel membrane, the control board, or the wiring harness — different components with very different repair costs.
Self-cleaning cycle not working
Pyrolytic (self-cleaning) ovens operate at temperatures above 400°C during the cleaning cycle. If the self-clean function won't start, the most likely causes are a door latch that isn't engaging the lock mechanism, a blown thermal limiter, or a failed door lock solenoid. If the oven enters self-clean but doesn't complete the cycle, the thermal limiter has usually blown during the high-temperature cycle — a sign that the oven's ventilation is compromised or that the cycle temperature exceeded its rated limit.
Gas oven specific faults
Gas ovens have unique fault patterns compared to electric ovens. The gas oven igniter glows to ignite the burner — if the glow is weak or the igniter doesn't heat at all, the burner won't light. Unlike gas hob thermocouples, gas oven igniters are flat silicon carbide components that visibly glow orange-red when functioning. The gas oven safety valve is also a separate component from the hob valves, with its own thermocouple. Gas oven repairs always require post-repair leak testing.

Frequently Asked Questions — Oven Repair Dubai
How long do oven repairs take in Dubai?
Most oven repairs are completed in 60–90 minutes on-site. Heating element replacement, thermostat replacement, door seal replacement, and fan motor replacement are all single-visit repairs in almost all cases. Control board replacements may require sourcing a specific part and a return visit within 1–3 days.
My oven is cooking food on one side but not the other — what is wrong?
Uneven cooking in a fan oven is almost always a fan motor that is failing or has failed — it is running but not at full speed, or has stopped entirely. In a conventional (non-fan) oven, uneven heating indicates that one of the two elements (bake and broil) has failed partially or completely. We can diagnose which component is at fault within the first 10 minutes of a service visit.
Should I repair or replace my oven?
Ovens are generally worth repairing if the repair cost is below 50% of the replacement value. Heating elements, thermostats, door seals, and fan motors are all affordable repairs that extend oven life by several years. Control board replacements on older ovens are the exception — if the PCB costs more than 60–70% of a new oven's value, replacement may make more sense. We will give you an honest assessment at diagnosis.
Do you repair built-in ovens without removing the cabinetry?
In most cases, yes. Built-in single ovens are accessed from the front once the oven is slid out of its housing on its glide rails. We carry the necessary tools to remove built-in ovens from standard fitted kitchen housings. In some installations with non-standard housing dimensions, removal requires more time and we will advise you of this when we arrive.
